We’ve got your back

For more than 100 years, we’ve had the backs of Queensland’s fruit, vegetable and nut growers.

As the state industry body for commercial horticulture, we exist for one reason: to support growers and strengthen the industry they power.

Horticulture isn’t just another sector to us. It’s essential - to communities, to food security, and to Queensland’s economy. That’s why we work every day to ensure growers have a strong voice, practical support, and the confidence to keep growing for generations to come.

We advocate on behalf of growers at every level. We deliver services that make a real difference on farm and in business. And we keep growers at the centre of everything we do - because when growers thrive, horticulture thrives.

Through our dedicated project delivery arm, Growcom, we design and deliver high-quality programs that are practical, relevant, and built around real-world challenges. Our approach is straightforward: listen first, act with purpose, and deliver outcomes that matter.

Trusted to serve Queensland growers for 100+ years

Established as a statutory authority in 1923, the organisation was founded as the Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing (COD). In 1991, it became Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers, before transitioning in 1999 to a company limited by guarantee - reflecting the broader trend at the time of governments reducing their direct regulatory role in industry.

In 2004, QFVG adopted the trading name Growcom, which continues today as the organisation’s project delivery arm. In 2023, the organisation rebranded back to QFVG.
