We’ve got your back

For more than 100 years, we’ve had the backs of Queensland’s fruit, vegetable and nut growers.

As the state industry body for commercial horticulture, we exist for one reason: to support growers and strengthen the industry they power.

Horticulture isn’t just another sector to us. It’s essential - to communities, to food security, and to Queensland’s economy. That’s why we work every day to ensure growers have a strong voice, practical support, and the confidence to keep growing for generations to come.

We advocate on behalf of growers at every level. We deliver services that make a real difference on farm and in business. And we keep growers at the centre of everything we do - because when growers thrive, horticulture thrives.

Trusted to serve Queensland growers for 100+ years

Founded in 1923 as the Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing (COD), we became Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers in 1991. In 1999, after operating as a statutory body for over 75 years, we transitioned to a company limited by guarantee, reflecting a broader move away from direct government regulation.

From 2004 - 2023, we served Queensland horticulture under the trading name, Growcom. Today QFVG is back front and centre with our advocacy, membership, projects, and services all proudly delivered under this one trusted name.
