Farm Business Resilience Program For Horticulture
Farming comes with enough uncertainty. From managing crops, staff, machinery, compliance and getting produce to market, it can be difficult to step back and look at the bigger picture. QFVG’s Farm Business Resilience Program helps horticulture growers review where their business is now, identify where they want to be, and work through the practical steps needed to get there. The program supports growers to strengthen their business, prepare for disruption, and make more confident decisions for the future.

The Farm Business Resilience Program supports horticulture growers to step back from day-to-day pressures and review their business, priorities and risks.
Through tailored one-to-one support, growers work through a practical business plan that reflects their farm, goals and current challenges.
The focus is not just on developing a plan, but on identifying realistic actions and next steps that can be implemented over time to strengthen the business and prepare for future disruption.

A Farm Business Resilience Plan is a practical plan that helps growers review their business, identify key risks and priorities, and map out the steps needed to strengthen their operation over time.
The plan looks at areas such as production, people, finances, natural resources, climate and business risk. It helps growers consider what is working well, where improvements could be made, and what actions will support a more resilient and sustainable farm business.
The plan is designed to be updated as the business changes, so it remains useful beyond the first planning session.
For growers seeking drought-related grants or funding through QRIDA, having a Farm Business Resilience Plan will also support eligibility requirements.
