Crisis Communication Training
Supporting farmers and agriculture sector representatives be equipped to manage communications in a crisis.
When a crisis occurs, how you communicate can be just as important as how you respond. Whether facing a biosecurity incident, workplace accident, activist activity, natural disaster, or another unexpected event, clear and timely communication is essential to protecting your people, your business, and your reputation.
Developed by the Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) with support from Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers (QFVG), this Crisis Communications Training program provides practical tools and resources to help farmers, agribusinesses, and industry representatives prepare for and manage communications during challenging situations.
The program includes a five-module digital toolkit designed to build confidence in crisis communication, stakeholder engagement, and media management. Participants will gain access to communication planning templates, real-world scenarios and exercises, and practical guidance on handling media enquiries and interview requests.
Explore the training modules and resources available through the QFF website to strengthen your preparedness and communication capability before a crisis occurs.
