QFVG appoints Interim CEO as recruitment commences
Queensland Fruit & Vegetable Growers (QFVG) has announced leadership arrangements as the organisation commences recruitment for its next Chief Executive Officer.
QFVG Chair Joe Moro has been appointed Interim CEO, overseeing the organisation’s strategic direction and key priorities until a permanent appointment is made. Supporting Mr Moro will be Chief Finance & Operating Officer (CFOO) Tracy Artiach who will manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure continuity across QFVG’s programs and services to members.
Mr Moro said the arrangements provide stability and continuity during the leadership transition.
"We have a strong team and a clear direction. These arrangements will ensure we continue delivering for members and representing the interests of Queensland’s fruit, vegetable, and nut growers,” Mr Moro said.
This announcement follows the resignation of QFVG CEO Rachel Chamber in September following her appointment by the Crisafulli Government to the role of Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner.
“On behalf of the Board, I congratulate Rachel on her appointment. She leaves QFVG stronger and more future-focused. We thank her sincerely for her leadership and wish her every success in this important new role,” Mr Moro said.
The recruitment process for QFVG’s next Chief Executive Officer is now underway, with the organisation looking forward to appointing a leader who will continue advancing the interests of Queensland’s horticulture industry.
