Rachel Chambers appointed Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner

Some big news for our QFVG family today – our CEO Rachel Chambers has been appointed by the Crisafulli Government as the next Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner.

While we’re sad to see Rachel move on, we couldn’t be prouder. Under her leadership, QFVG has taken some brave steps forward. From the Year of Horticulture, to the We Give A Fork national campaign and launching HortESG.

Rachel leaves behind a legacy of passion, impact, and care. But as she reminded us, QFVG is now 102 years strong – it’s our people who make the organisation what it is, day in and day out.

Our Chair, Joe Moro summed it up perfectly:

“On behalf of the Board, I congratulate Rachel on her appointment. She leaves QFVG stronger and more future-focused. We thank her sincerely for her leadership and wish her every success in this important new role.”

The Board will soon begin recruiting for a new CEO – but for now, we celebrate Rachel, thank her for everything, and cheer her on as she takes on this exciting next chapter.
